Having worked within the field of supply chain management since 2005, I am currently pursuing a master at the Technical University of Denmark with the purpose of gaining a better understanding of supply chain dynamics. I will use this site to share knowledge, insights and ideas which arise from my studies and work.

About Me
Most of my career I have worked in the intersection of supply chain management and IT solutions. My educational background is in discrete mathematics and statistics (M.Sc.Eng. from the Technical University of Denmark) supplemented with a diploma (HD) in supply chain management from Copenhagen Business School.
My passion is planning. To define planning solutions which help the business unit excel and reach desired outcomes fuels my motivation.
Throughout the years, I have been somewhat frustrated with the lack of scientific results in supply chain management. The theory related to supply chain planning which I have come across is either too complex or too simple, making assumptions which simply do not hold in real life.
In my current studies I am pursuing an improved understanding of the dynamics in supply chain management. It is my aim to apply scientific methods to gain insights which can be applied in practice.
2005 Novo Nordisk
Senior Supply Chain Specialist
Since 2005 I have been in various positions and areas within Novo Nordisk. In my current position as Senior Supply Chain Specialist in the Clinical Supplies area, I have been driving a digital transformation of our planning processes. I have worked on all levels, from helping management setting direction to hand-on development of planning systems. Currently my focus is on optimisation of processes with the aim of improving lead time, which is a high priority.
2000 NNIT
Systems Developer and Project Manager
I started my career at NNIT as a systems developer on a number of projects. This included requirements specification, analysis, design, programming and testing. The last two years, I switched to a role as project manager on a number of smaller projects (typical team size: 2-4 persons). My time with NNIT taught me a lot about systems development projects seen from the perspective of a delivery organisation.
1999 PricewaterhouseCoopers
Consultant – Distribution Planning
In my first job, I worked as a systems development consultant on the development of a system for distribution planning.
