Why care about supply chain dynamics?
If you wonder why you should care about supply chain dynamics, think about the disruptions of global supply chains which impacted many businesses in 2021 and continue to create challenges in 2022. These are the extreme results of dynamics in supply chain which I believe were beyond the control of any single organisation. Unless you are a policy maker, your primary interest in supply chain dynamics is to understand how the large scale effects impact your business, and ideally to enable you to manage your business well when such changes in the overall business environment.
On a smaller scale, the dynamics caused by variability and complexity hugely affect your supply chain. How you manage these is crucial for the performance of your supply chain, and therefore you need to understand dynamics in your supply chain.
With a supply chain dynamics approach you will gain insights which are essential to create sustainable performance improvements.
What will you get from this site?
I am just starting to learn within the supply chain dynamics field. On this site I will write up some of the knowledge and insights I gain along the way. I hope that sharing my learnings and thoughts will sow some seeds in your mind which can grow to become insights and ideas which can help you optimise your supply chain.
There are few easy solutions in this domain, so I do not expect to be able to provide plug-and-play answers. The topic is in many ways hard, and some content will require effort to digest and understand. Other content should be more straightforward. This type of content will provide general rules and guidelines and seek to inspire readers to find their own solutions.
Target audience
My ambition is to create content which is relevant to managers and professionals working within supply chain management in industry.

Thanks for your kind words – a nice surprise, since I actually created the site myself using WordPress and starting out with the Astra theme for the basic layout. There was some starting template which I used, but I changed the colours.
I am generally not at all good at design and have little flair for matching colours, so to get a starting point for the colours, I found a colour scheme at some web site which I think could generate suggestions. Afterwards, I think, I adjusted some of the colours a bit.
